With Congress passing the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act and President Trump poised to sign the legislation July 4th at the White House, Planned Parenthood will be defunded for one year — a major setback to the pro-abortion movement in America.
Planned Parenthood has called the bill cruel and devastating, citing that 1.1 million people may lose access to their services.
"If Planned Parenthood is 'defunded,' nearly 200 Planned Parenthood health centers in 24 states across the country are at risk of closure," the abortion provider said in a press release.
This is good news. What Planned Parenthood calls "care," Christians know is largely the evil killing of children in the womb.
More work remains for the defense of the sanctity of life, but this is a major step in the right direction and puts the abortion industry on notice: America is waking up to the horrors of abortion and, increasingly, taxpayers do not want to fund this atrocity. The Danbury Institute will continue to work to educate the American public on the truth that life begins at fertilization and deserves protection from that point forward, the reality that abortion is the murder of a human being, and the avenues Americans can use to end legal abortion and to stop taxpayer funding of abortion permanently.
In addition to the win for the sanctity of life, the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” ends taxpayer-funded sex changes for minors, solidifies tax cuts for Americans, gives the Trump administration the resources it needs to finish the border wall and permanently secure the border, instates work requirements for welfare, supports capitalistic society by reducing regulations, boosting small business abilities, and unleashing American energy production, infuses billions into rebuilding the military, and much more. Americans can find win after win in this legislation that essentially allows the Trump administration to get to work even more earnestly in delivering on promises made to the American people.
“Many have applauded improvements already made by the Trump administration in just a few short months in office, including historic peace agreements in Africa and the Middle East,” said Danbury Institute Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Scott Colter. “Now, the Trump administration has been given the keys by Congress to work even more effectively for the pro-family, pro-life, pro-truth agenda items that led millions of Americans — and historic numbers of evangelical Christians — to vote for him in November 2024. We look forward with anticipation to helping President Trump effect more change in the coming days in defending religious liberty, protecting life at all ages and stages, and guarding children from the onslaught of progressive, LGBTQ, anti-American talking points aimed squarely at them and the demolition of their future. Today is a good day for life and liberty in the United States.”
